Squash balls for your level of play

Squash BallsPureSquash sells squash balls made by Wilson and Dunlop. Dunlop is known for its dominance in the squash-ball market, but Wilson has recently offered a ball that some players feel is superior.

When you are looking for a ball, you will want to make sure you select the ball that is most appropriate for your level of play. Beginner and intermediate players should start off hitting the single-dot Dunlop ball, and then move on to the double-dot ball as they gain greater accuracy and control. The double-dot ball is the official ball of the PSA tour and it has a hang time of about 10-15% less than the single-dot ball. For this reason, you will want to make sure that you do not move up to hitting the double-dot ball before you are ready.

And, don't forget your sports eyewear to protect you from flying balls.

Many uses of athletic tape

Athletic TapeAthletic tape has more uses for the sport of squash than you might think. One of the best uses of the tape is to provide you with greater support and stability by taping a strip around each leg, just above your ankle. This serves to provide extra support around the Achilles tendon and will reduce your chance of injury.

Another use of athletic tape is for taping a strip to the edge of your squash racquet. This is especially useful when you have lost most of your bumper on the edge because of hitting the court wall one-too-many times. A little bit of tape can go a long way in extending the life of your equipment (including racquets, shoes, and even eyewear).

There are many components to the game of squash and our videos are designed to show you how to improve each of those components. From aerobic conditioning, strength training, and court movement, to performing solo drills, pair drills, and simulated match-play scenarios, our videos are sure to show you something you have not seen before.
