Brand name squash racquets

Prince Squash RacquetsIf you are looking for an online store carrying the top brands in squash racquets, PureSquash is the place for you. We carry top-of-the-line models from brands such as Wilson, Dunlop, Prince, and Head. We have chosen to exclusively carry these brands because they have consistently demonstrated their ability to produce high-quality squash racquets that are frequently endorsed by many of the top touring pros in the PSA.

Selecting a racquet is no easy task. There are many things to consider. There are elements such as the weight, "feel", balance (the distribution of weight from the head of the racquet to the grip), and size of the racquet head. Let us first consider the weight. A player who is more interested in hitting long, hard drives would likely be more interested in a heaver racquet that would enable him to power his drives deep to the back of the court. Conversely, the player that is looking for a quick touch in the front court would like be more interested in a lighter-weight racquet.

In addition, there is the "feel" of the racquet. The "feel" is more of a subjective measure and the same model could have two different feels for two different players. Feel is mostly related to the weight distribution and whether the racquet feels head-heavy or head-light in the player's hand.

Next is the balance. Again, this is closely related to the feel of the racquet. Balance is important to many players as a poorly-balanced racquet may feel as though the head is dropping down or requires excessive strength to hold the racquet properly. A well-balanced model is one that seemingly requires little to no effort for the player to swing through properly and feel as though they are hitting the perfect shot every time.

Finally, there is the racquet head to contend with. Some players do not pay much attention to this aspect, but for others, it can be a serious consideration when choosing the correct model. Typically, a beginning- to intermediate-level player should more consider a larger head size. This larger size will give them the extra confidence they need to hit the ball appropriately.
